Receipts

After every completed order, Swift POS generates a receipt that can be viewed, printed, or sent to the customer through multiple channels.

Receipt Content

Every receipt includes:

  • Store name and location
  • Order number and date
  • Line items with quantities and prices
  • Discounts applied (with discount code or type)
  • Tax breakdown (if tax is enabled)
  • Order total
  • Payment method(s) used
  • Customer name (if a customer was attached)
  • Staff member who processed the sale

Delivery Options

From the receipt screen, you can:

Customer Receipt Preferences

Each customer can have a preferred receipt method set in their profile:

  • Print -- receipt is sent to the printer automatically
  • Ask every time -- the staff member is prompted to choose

When a preference is set, the receipt is delivered automatically without staff intervention.

Set receipt preferences for your regular customers to speed up checkout. Go to the customer's profile and select their preferred method under "Receipt Preference."

Reprinting Receipts

To reprint or resend a receipt for a past order:

  1. Go to the Orders page
  2. Find the order by searching or filtering
  3. Click the Receipt button on the order
