Customer Management

Swift POS integrates with your Shopify customer database, letting you search, create, and manage customers directly from the POS.

Finding Customers

At checkout, click the customer icon (or press F2) to open the customer search. Search by:

  • Customer name
  • Email address
  • Phone number

Results are pulled from your Shopify customer database in real time.

Creating Customers

If a customer is not in your system, you can create one on the spot:

  1. Click New Customer in the customer search
  2. Enter at least a name (email and phone are optional but recommended)
  3. Click Save

The customer is created in Shopify immediately and can be attached to the current order.

Attaching Customers to Orders

When a customer is selected at checkout:

  • The order is linked to their Shopify profile
  • Their order history is updated after the sale
  • Loyalty points are earned automatically (Pro plan)
  • Group discounts are suggested if applicable
  • Receipts can be sent to their preferred channel
