Free Trial

All paid Swift POS plans include a 7-day free trial with full access to the plan's features.

How the Trial Works​

  1. Go to Shopify Admin > Swift POS > Billing
  2. Select any paid plan (Starter, Standard, or Pro)
  3. Shopify shows the trial terms and asks for confirmation
  4. Click Start free trial
  5. You have full access to all features of the selected plan for 7 days

During the trial, the POS displays a trial countdown showing how many days remain.

During the Trial​

  • All features of the selected plan are fully functional
  • No charges are applied during the 7-day period
  • You can use the POS normally, process real orders, and test all features
  • Staff limits apply based on the plan selected

After the Trial​

When the 7-day trial expires:

  • If you approve the charge in Shopify -- the plan continues and billing begins
  • If you do not approve -- the plan auto-downgrades to the Free plan

What Happens on Downgrade​

When downgrading to Free:

  • Features exclusive to paid plans become locked
  • Data is preserved but inaccessible through gated features
  • Staff accounts beyond the 1 allowed on Free are deactivated (highest role kept)
  • Cash register sessions are closed
  • Alerts, groups, and reports are no longer accessible

Your data is never deleted on downgrade. If you upgrade later, everything is still there.

Trial Limits​

  • Each store can use the free trial once per plan
  • If you trial the Starter plan and later want to try Pro, you get a new trial for Pro
  • Switching plans during a trial ends the current trial and starts a new one for the new plan
  • Returning to a previously trialed plan does not grant a new trial
